BestSolv™ Sierra – Replacement for 3M™ Novec™ 7100 / Neat HFE
BestSolv™ Sierra Engineered Fluid is a non-flammable fluid used in a wide variety of industrial applications, including vapor degreasing and solvent rinsing.
BestSolv™ Sierra fluid is formulated as a drop-in 3M™ Novec™ 7100 alternative fluid. It is a high-purity neat hydrofluoroether (HFE) fluid. BestSolv™ Sierra does not contain any additional chemicals such as t-DCE (trans-1,2-dichloroethylene) or isopropyl alcohol.
BestSolv™ Sierra is available at a significantly lower price point than 3M™ Novec™ 7100.
For those who need an exact molecule replacement for 3M™ Novec™ 7100, Best Technology also offers BestSolv™ 7100 as an alternative, based on the 3M™ announcement of Novec™ fluid phase out in 2022.

Common Applications
BestSolv™ Sierra is formulated as a vapor degreasing solvent for precision cleaning and other applications. It is commonly used for:
- Cleaning / rinsing medical device parts during manufacturing
- Cleaning / rinsing electronics and mobile device parts during manufacturing
- Latent fingerprint processing on porous surfaces, as a carrier solvent for ninhydrin and DFO formulations. Tested and approved by our customers as a replacement for HFE-7100.
